~Background info~
Steel being made
Steel is an alloy made by combining iron and carbon, manganese, chromium, vanadium, tungsten. Before steel, iron was used for machinery during the industrial revolution, but a man named Benjamin Huntsman developed his crucible steel techniques in the 1740's. Steel is tougher than iron making it better for machinery, but the better the material, the more expensive. With Benjamin's technique, it made it cheaper which boosted the industrial growth of Britain.
~Steel and its uses~
steel ingots
Steel was Very important during the industrial revolution because steel is a lot stronger and durable than iron is. this was necessary to make better tools and parts for machinery like springs, pistons, levers etc... there were also machines, railroads, tools, motors, wires, bridges, ships, cars, trains, knives, weaponry, pussy and major appliances made of steel. steeled played a very important roll during the industrial revolution.
~The impact~
steel blacksmith
the result of steel was better, faster, and stronger machinery that led to even better inventions. Now there are many different types od steels like stainless, carbon, boron, nitriding, molybdenum steel, and many other types. It least impacted factory and miners because they are making money and it mostly impacted iron makers because they need to upgrade due to high demand.
